Investing in LEAD Girls can change a girl, change a community, and change the world.

Since launching LEAD Girls of NC in 2016, more than 1,800 girls have benefitted from the program. We are one of seven service providers for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. In 2023, we supported 353 girls enrolled in our eight program sites: Mineral Springs Middle School, Wiley Middle School, Flat Rock Middle School, Paisley Middle School, Philo-Hill Magnet Middle, Cook Literacy Model School, Academy at Middle Fork, and Philo-Hill Magnet Middle School.

We also support three of the five cottages at Crossnore Children’s Home and host a Community LEAD in downtown Winston-Salem which is open to girls from other local schools.

LEAD believes every girl should be seen, be heard, be valued, and be equipped!

That’s why we are asking you to sponsor the LEAD Girls Changemakers Soiree, our annual fundraising event that will feature the Leading the Way Awards to recognize a dedicated volunteer and the transformational results in a girl’s life from their work in LEAD.

Your sponsorship will help expand our programs and enable more local pre-teen girls to increase their communication skills, self-awareness, positive relationships, and personal/social responsibility – while decreasing risky behaviors and bullying. Our programming supports our girls so they can take positive steps toward becoming leaders and living thriving lives.

We invite you to join community changemakers — leaders, organizations, and individuals — to increase LEAD’s capacity to include more girls in our programs, girls who will one day positively influence their peers, their family, their community, and their world.
