By sharing our story, we hope to inspire and motivate others to support girls’ success.

We know none of us would realize our goals were it not for a helping hand from a friend, teacher, family or community member.

When we met Joy Nelson Thomas and witnessed how she and her program were nurturing leadership in girls, we wanted to tell her remarkable story and explore how LEAD cultivates and supports success.

Joy’s determination is contagious; her compassion and wisdom guide girls to discover doors where there were only walls. Laura Hart McKinny and John McKinny

Planting the seeds for success starts with girls.

Change a girl. Change a community. Change the world.

We believe that building a brighter future for our community starts with building a brighter future for our youth–especially girls. We’re equipping girls to confidently make thoughtful choices about their lives in the present, as the building blocks for a lifetime of smart, confident choices. What we teach girls now will help them grow into independent, capable and secure women.

Why support this project?

Nurturing young people is essential.

As a woman-owned company, it is essential to nurture and guide our young people in real ways that provide true stepping stones to learning and opportunity.

Joy Nelson Thomas and her team have the pulse point on what girls need to LEAD.
